Privacy Policy — Weather Publisher (YouTube API Services)

Weather Publisher is a personal software tool owned and operated by Jeff Lutz, publisher of ministry-weather.com (“Ministry Weather”). The tool is used solely by its owner to upload his own weather briefing videos to his own YouTube channel (@JeffLutz). It is not offered to the public and has no other users.

  1. Use of YouTube API Services. Weather Publisher uses YouTube API Services to upload videos and set their titles and descriptions on the owner’s own channel. Use of YouTube API Services is subject to the YouTube Terms of Service (https://www.youtube.com/t/terms), and Google’s handling of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy).
  2. Information the tool accesses. The tool connects to the owner’s Google account only through OAuth authorization the owner granted, and only with the youtube.upload scope. It uploads video files, titles, and descriptions that the owner supplies. It does not read, collect, or store any other Google user data, and it does not access data belonging to any other person.
  3. Information the tool stores. Weather Publisher stores the owner’s own OAuth access and refresh tokens in a private configuration file on the owner’s own computer. No Google user data is stored on any server.
  4. Sharing. No information is sold, rented, or shared with third parties. Data passes only between the owner’s computer and Google’s official API, as needed to complete the upload.
  5. Revoking access and deleting data. The owner can revoke Weather Publisher’s access at any time through Google’s security settings (https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions) and can delete the stored tokens by removing the configuration file from his computer. Anyone who believes their information has been handled by this tool in error may contact the owner at the address below and it will be deleted.
  6. Changes. This policy may be updated at any time; the current version will always be posted at this URL.
